Crusher and mill bases
Heavy plate weldments that carry a jaw, cone or ball mill and its drive. Stress relieved and machined flat on the mounting planes.
Crusher and mill bases, screen decks, conveyor structures and the welded chassis under mobile plant. Send the drawing; we match it with up to three Vietnamese shops whose crane, oven and machining envelope fit the piece. They quote you directly.

Frames under vibrating screens and feeders, where fatigue detailing at every weld toe decides service life.
Stringers, idler frames, drive frames, gantries and transfer chutes, usually galvanised or painted to a named ISO 12944 category.
Welded chassis for track and wheel mounted crushers and screens, with machined bores for pivots and cylinders.
Structural shells with bolt-on abrasion-resistant liners, designed so the liner is replaced and the shell is not.
Pump, thickener and filter press skids with drip containment and lifting points rated for site rigging.
Typical call-outs for this class of work, credited to the standards that define them. They describe what buyers ask for, not a capability we hold ourselves. The shop that quotes confirms what it can actually meet.
| Material | S355 or A572 Gr 50 for structure; abrasion-resistant plate around 400 HB for liners and wear faces, bolted not welded where it must be replaced |
|---|---|
| Weld standard | AWS D1.1 or AS/NZS 1554, with the loading condition stated as cyclic for anything under a vibrating machine |
| Fatigue detail | Weld toe profile and stiffener terminations per EN 1993-1-9 or AS 4100 detail categories, called out on the drawing |
| NDT | MT on fatigue-loaded fillet toes, UT on full-penetration butts in tension |
| Machined faces | Coplanarity across mounting pads, with a stated shim allowance; crusher bases typically 0.05 mm/m |
| Finish | Blast to Sa 2½ then ISO 12944 C4 or C5 system, or hot-dip galvanise to ISO 1461 for conveyor steel |
| Transport | Most crusher bases exceed a flat rack; split-and-bolt with machined mating faces is the usual answer |
A 12 t crusher base has to be lifted at fit-up, into the oven, onto the mill and onto the truck. We check every bay before the RFQ goes out.
Bases that are not stress relieved move after machining. We only send this work to shops with an oven that fits the piece, or that document vibratory relief where you allow it.
Vibrating equipment fails at weld toes. Shops in this shortlist hold procedures for cyclically loaded work, not just static structure.
The full five-stage process is public on how we vet. Use it on your own suppliers if that is more useful than sending us the drawing.
Not sure this is the right category for your part? Email the drawing to and we will say plainly where it fits.
Send it with the destination port. Within 24 business hours we tell you which shops clear the envelope, and up to three of them quote you directly.
