About

A matching service, not a factory and not a directory.

heavyframes.com exists to answer one question well: which Vietnamese fabricator should build this particular heavy frame, and what should it cost landed at your port.

Heavy plate work is decided by the building it happens in. Stock photograph; we do not publish photographs of partner shops or client parts.

Why this is run by one person

This is a small operation based in Ho Chi Minh City. Not a multinational, not a marketplace, not a call centre. One person who reads the drawings, visits the shops, and answers the email.

That sounds like a weakness in a market where every competitor claims hundreds of vetted suppliers. In this niche it is the opposite. Heavy fabrication is decided by equipment you cannot see on a website, the crane in the machining bay, the length of the stress-relief oven, the travel on the gantry mill. There is no database for that. Somebody has to have stood in the building.

A fabricator with one set of equipment will always tell you your part fits it, because their job is to fill their shop. We have no shop to fill, so the shortlist gets built from your drawing outward. That independence is the only thing we actually sell.

What we do

  • Read your drawing and tell you whether the network can build it
  • Shortlist shops by crane capacity, oven length and machining envelope, not by who paid for a listing
  • Send the RFQ to up to three matched shops with the Incoterm fixed, so their quotes are comparable
  • Hold your drawing under NDA until it is signed, if you ask for one
  • Tell you when a job should be built closer to home

What we do not do

  • We do not own a factory, and we never will. It is the whole point
  • We hold no welding qualifications of our own; the shops hold those and we verify them
  • We do not claim certifications. Not ISO 9001, not anything else
  • We do not publish client names or photographs of other people’s parts
  • We do not take a job the network cannot do well

How we are paid

Buyers pay nothing. A fabricator pays a fee for each RFQ it chooses to take, after seeing a preview of the part. That is the only money that changes hands with us. We take no commission on the order you place with the shop, and no shop can pay for a place on a shortlist.

It also means we have no reason to push you toward the most expensive option, and every reason to match well enough that you send the next drawing too.

What we are still building

Honesty about stage matters more than a manufactured track record. This site is new. The guides published here are researched work, not recycled marketing, and the editorial standards page sets out exactly how they are written and what we will not assert.

The supplier network is being built shop by shop, with visits rather than forms, the process is documented in full on how we vet. When we have client work we are permitted to describe, it will appear here as case studies with real numbers. Until then there are none, and we would rather say that than invent one.

For fabricators

If you run a shop, this page matters to you too

We are not a portal that resells your contact details. Shops in the network receive drawings with a scope already written in English, a buyer who has been qualified, and an inspection plan agreed up front. What we ask in return is that you tell us plainly when a job does not suit your equipment.

How to join the network

One drawing. Up to three matched shops. First reply in a day.

Send the frame you need built. Within 24 business hours we tell you whether it fits the network and which shops clear the envelope. They quote you directly.
